What is Overthinking Quill?

As Overthinking Quill has been founded to serve the imaginations of D&D and similar tabletop role-playing gamers, the project itself began naturally as the brainchild of two tabletop enthusiasts who have been playing around with such systems since their high-school days. We are delighted to share with the worldwide community our own experiences in the field of world building – a task which, we are sure you should be intimately familiar with now that you’ve stumbled upon us. 

Overthinking Quill seeks to provide resources, strategies, advice, and a wide miscellany of articles that wish to foster the latent creativity within the writer, game master, and of course, the world builder. Ours is a platform by which we tabletop buffs can come together to contribute our own personal creativity to. In the pursuit of sharing in such imaginative prospects, it is in our belief that hosting such an outlet should mean us learning from you as much as you learn from us. 

From us, you can expect articles explaining the nebulous process of world building – the art and craft of conceptualizing a setting to be used for your own individual purposes.
